Kettlebell Workout Intensity
You may have heard about the kettlebell. Though not new to those who are of Russian descent or have a thing for history, it’s relatively new to those who haven’t researched weight training. Making its way around the world, kettlebells have certainly made a mark and will continue to do so.
But what are kettlebells most known for? Their intensity. The workouts available to those who use the kettlebell have been known to really push a person to their limits and beyond. Though it might seem simple and easy to someone who works out regularly, if given a try, the kettlebell will prove you wrong.
Its offset weight, from the handle, provides the difference between the kettlebell and most other weight sets like dumbbells. However, this is what gives the kettlebell the name of being so intense. Where the weight is even and easily moved with a dumbbell, the kettlebell pushes the user to use all different muscle groups to move the weight.
No only that, but with the different weights available, either traditional or with adjustable kettlebells, the workouts can quickly become more intense. The effort and strength needed to push and pull the bell around, over and under your body is more than you would get with most other traditional weight sets.
However, if used effectively and with a routine, the intensity will soon become a challenge, albeit in a good way. You’ll soon find yourself wondering how you can push yourself harder and further to shed those extra pounds, gain that muscle, or push your endurance and stamina even further. All it takes is a little information and ambition.
